Mr.Delaney, Thank you for creating such a great web site
for the breed and fanciers of the breed, your site shows
such the dedication you have for the breed and promoting
the breed. Your uncle William had the same liking for the
breed, keep up the great work. Seamus.
I am
a keen terrier/dog enthusiast for 40+ years, an ( IKC )
Irish Kennel Club life member under the prifix of (Buckingham)
which came from the insperation of his grandfarther Patrick
Kelly who bred and showed wire fox terriers both in Dublin
Ireland and London UK, his main dog being Buckingham Dazzler,
who got the name from the individuals who lived on the same
street, Buckingham Street Dublin City, individuals making
daily comments about the dog while out walking, (Dazzler
they called him).
I have family founder members of terrier breed clubs in
Ireland, (Peter Delaney) The Irish Terrier Club and (William
Delaney) The Staffordshire Buill Terrier Club.
I have bred and shown, Wire Fox Terriers, Staffordshire
Bull Terriers and fortunate enough to have spent quite a
few years in the north of England, Nelson and Clone and
being involved in whippet racing, coursing, lamping and
really enjoying the many hunt terriers and hounds, Jack
Russells, Patterdales, Lurchers etc... not forgetting the
many new terrier friends and the excellent hospitality of
the Lancashire lads and lasses.
Now
living in the USA 14 years and looking forward in experiencing
the dog scene and the various hunt disciplines in another
country, such as Coonhounds, Wild Boar and Catch Dogs, hunt
terriers both in show and field...
