Arkan, is at the top game, this courageous little terrier has shown that he can seek out and bay a wild boar 10 times his own body weight, a 22lb dog stopping a 220lb wild boar in its own environment and without any help from his owner or backup dogs. a great little terrier and 100% on task, although taking a number of crippling hard hits from the boar, there were no signs of retreat, any other dog would of have shown signs of uncertainty, weakness, turned tail, backed off, but not "Arkan", after a few hard hits, Arkan had shown that there was absolutely no sign retreat, he went on to finish what he had set out to do and received one of the highest certifications for his hunting and game ability.

For fellow hunt enthusiasts in other countries such as the USA, South Africa, UK and Ireland that does not already know this. These Jagdterriers from Serbia, Bulgaria, Russia etc..are extremley tested on their gamness and versatile abilities. The "CACT" game certification award what you see on many of the pedigrees are strict game test certifications were the terrier judge(s) give and take away points for the terriers abilities, including meeting certain response time requirements, there is absolutely no other country in the world that puts their terriers through such a stringent game testing programs.

"Arkan" is one of the gamest terriers I personally have ever seen in action, extremely intelligent, hard hitting and in full control when working game. I have seen proof of this little dog working on fox at 4 months of age, taking hold and stopping a badger at the age of 6 months, this courageous little terrier just got even better with age.

You know the old world saying, "good apples don't fall far from the tree". and it is all very true with Arkan, a super bred terrier, son of Arkos, who is a son of "Jakko Plavanski" ....Arkos, being a double grandson of Serbia's finest battle dog "Dzimi Zabac" a true conerstone sire "Dzimi Zabac" AKA "Jimmy Zabac", 14xCACT, 6xR.CACT, 10x 1st prize, CACIT, 3xII prize (S/) a great working terrier on wild boar and a excellent producing sire, most definitely considered one of the true cornerstone sires of Serbia.

Arkan's dam is a super bred bitch, "Ch.BG Talis vom Belovodski", a great little bitch and base foundation bitch out of "EX" who is a direct son of Kuzmanovic Goran's "Graff Sa Sirijusa", a 1992 super bred titled dog with Ch.YU.BT, 13xCAC, 2xCACT, 2xCACIT R.CAC CACIB... "EX" is also a grandson of the phenomenal austrian dog "Hoss" 2xCACIB, 4xCACT, 5xCAC, 3xR.CAC, a real game little terrier and was said to have sired of over 60+ litters,"Hoss" a half brother to "Ch. B.YU Arka Savis who is also the dam of "Kill" what great breeding in these dogs, when you take a close look at "Kill" and "Ch.Arka Savis" the influential terrier here being "Humel Vom Hertelend", 4xCACIB 6xCAC CACT R.CACT.

Ch.BG Talis vom Belovodski, 4xCAC, 1xCACIB, LZ-7, a direct daughter of "Ex"...Talis was mated to Arkos LZ-8, a Jakko Plavanski son, this mating produced a cracking litter on the 25th October 2005. 7 puppies - 5 males and 2 females - Argos, Arnold, Archibald, Ar-Ex, Arkan, Arena and Armada.

It takes many long days, nights and in some cases years to bring a dog of this caliber to the top ... so I would like to thank and give credit to Arkan's owner and trainer Mr. Georgi Georgiev, yes the terrier is born with the natural instincts to hunt and kill, but it takes a real good terrier person to know a dogs true strengths and abilities, to know how to tap into the dog, to guide it and bring out the absolute best in the dog.
